Hi Rich,
I just wanted mention what an amazing experience I had out at Seven
Hills on Saturday! I'm so thankful that you and your organization exist
to provide such an incredible service. I think I'm still processing
everything and I can't wait to do it again!
Please tell Monie that it was a true pleasure meeting her!
Have a great day and thanks again!
Jenny
what's up guys? finally got my first jump in today!!!! Its been raining cats and dogs for like 12 days. I hit up Pacific skydivers, one of now two DZs on the northshore airport. The third company went out of business because a tandem bounced, OUCH!! Went up in a king air and did a 13k drop, nice view, and for the first time went in shorts and a t-shirt, its like 80f here.
I won't bore you with a long bla bla bla but I thought you would want to know:
I know they were very busy, but my briefing was way rushed, I couldn't get answers from anyone, the pin on my rental was frowning crooked and bridal not velcrowed properly, I couldn't get someone to tell me what kind of reserve I had until I was boarding the plane, a terrible spot, and bad communication while in the plane (bad meaning none) led to a shouting match in front of about 20 customers about whether we should have exited, as I descended through 1500ft of clouds. My point? I was not at ease, and didn't enjoy it as I should have. I want to thank all of you dearly who had any hand in my teaching. For your knowledge, patience, guidance, and willingness and ability to answer questions, no matter how stupid they might have seemed. For me my confidence comes in that I have obtained all the knowledge I need and the rest is up to me. I had no idea how exceptional my learning experience was until I left the DZ. I hope this finds you all well and Happy Hollidays!
We just got home from a wonderful day that you folks were part of in helping Mary Jo realize her dream of skydiving. She has not stopped talking about the tandem jump to friends and family. I can only imagine the phone bill, but it will be worth every cent. Thank you again for participating in "Live with Regis and Kelly - Dreams". The tentative time for them to air today's activities is said to be Friday, May 11, 2007 at 9 a.m. CST on ABC network. I will certainly let you know if that changes. Check it out at : http://bventertainment.go.com/tv/buenavista/regisandkelly/contests/momsdream/index.html
Thank you again for helping to pull this together on short notice. Thank you for the professionalism with that feeling of family in our Seven Hills Skydiving experience.
I just wanted to take a second to say thanks for such an awesome jump today. I absolutely loved every minute of it and after the initial fear wore off I realized just how great it was to be up there! It definitely stole the number one spot on my list of favorite sports, formerly canyoneering. (Jumping down waterfalls just isn't the same after jumping out of a plane...)
I've been wanting to go skydiving for a long time now, just because I thought it would be the most exhilarating experience ever, and I'm pretty sure I got just what I was looking for. I think it's pretty safe to say you could count on me coming back again; I just absolutely loved it, that's all there is to it.
I'm wondering...what is the procedure for continuing along the training progression? I read through the sheet of jumps you have to do that was in the folder I got today, and I see there are quite a few different things and different steps. Are the prices different for each stage, are there additional classes for each one as well? Any more info you could give me about it would be great. You were right that's it's addicting, and I can't wait to do it again!
Thanks again for such a mind-blowing first jump, it was beyond words...
I did a tandem jump on the wed. the 21st, and it was video taped, but I haven't recieved the dvd yet. I was just wondering if it takes a while? Also, I just wanted to thank you for an awsome experience. I have been through sooo much in the past couple years, and this was way out of my comfort zone. But I have never felt so calm in my life. Tell Bill thanks for a great jump:) I plan to sign up for a class, but I need to find out my work schedule for july and august. Take care.
I finally got back to work and grabbed my back e-mails, and here was your message from last weekend. It reminded me to let you know how much I enjoyed the time with you and the other Seven Hills Skydivers folks on Wednesday.Jay was very good to work with and really made it comfortable for me. He inspired a lot of confidence so that it was surprisingly easy to make the jump. I never had a moment's doubt from start to finish. It was also enjoyable to have you make your jump with us. I must say I had to smile when I realized how many Christians were out there that day. Thanks again for working out the schedule for me. I'd definitely consider doing it again sometime. I'd take some Dramamine before going up, but that's about the only thing I'd change. It's kind of funny--when we were planning the jump, Jay asked me if I liked roller coasters, which I answered in the affirmative. At the time, I had forgotten that when I go to Six Flags I start the morning with Dramamine and then I really can enjoy the day. So when we started turning those 360s on Wednesday and I found myself not feeling so hot, I knew I had nobody to blame but myself. Aargh. If you'd forward my appreciation to Jay, I'd appreciate it. We got some good pictures, too. I'm showing them at work today :-) See you at the restaurant sometime.
it was a really great day and everyone is talking about it. hopefully i will be a little more organised next year and get a few trips. we all think really highly of you so thank you to you and all who was there on sat. i hope to see you again in a few weeks and im certain on a few people coming this sat coming. thanks again
I want to take a moment and personally thank you and all the members of the Seven Hills Sky-diving Club. It is a rare treat to have a life experience feel so comfortable and RIGHT! Terri and I have been made to feel "right at home" without exception by all those involved. It is obvious that you all genuinely share, not only a passion for sky-diving, but also for life in general. I truly believe that nothing in this life happens without a reason. If it is meant to happen, it usually will. If it doesn't happen, it probably wasn't meant to happen at all. We look forward to your continuing mentor-ship and advise. While yesterdays experiance was for me personally.... Neither, the most death defying... or The most important... The most spiritual... The most enlightening... The most stimulating... or most educational... It was still a life changing and profound experience!!! In less than 2 hours I went from one who truly believed that I had accomplished every single goal I had ever hoped to attain in this life ... Too a child, with a whole new list of dreams I want to accomplish. Terri and I can never repay any of you for that gift. See you soon.
Once again….you made this girl one happy camper ! Jay – was the best…..so positive, so patient and all this before his trip to Iowa. Who would have thought after my IAD’s that the tandem would have had such a great and exciting but completely different thrill. ‘Course, I have not found a jump master or experience that has been anything but positive. One thing that keeps me coming back is your PEOPLE. Your enthusiasm, your gift of teaching and the passion that you share is simply, contagious and beautiful….as you know, I think quite highly of all of you. Ok, so how does one beat this past weekends high? To my tandem master – I wish I could tell him thanks again…what a great tandem ride. Razz – you amazed me….if I had any clue how close you’d be in the air to me, I would have asked if I could hold your hand. It felt surreal, like watching the TV shows of skydivers….I still can’t believe it…I looked and you were right there. And I had no idea you were RIGHT there when I landed…poor Friday was asking me questions and all I could say was “ahhhhh”. I turned around and it was “ahhh” all over again. Good grief! Shortage of words is not usually my problem!Wow. Wow again.I can’t ask for anything better for this old (ok, middle aged) ladies birthday! I have made a promise to myself that although I will return to IAD (I have 4 tickets now), I will tandem on my birthday each year – what can beat that rush? Thanks guys! Melanie
I had such a great and wonderful experience on the 15th...(every time I go, the experience is gets better and better!) and of course, told everyone over and over again - until they told me to SHUT UP. :-)
And of course, my husband took photos...which we of course, showed until again, we were told to STOP. I guess I can be enthusiastic at times; perhaps too enthusiastic!
I have had friends tell me I am "nuts" (which we all know is true anyway) and even more crazy for jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, therefore, I could NOT resist the "perfectlygoodairplane.com" photo "op" of the plane...oh what sweet justice!
Anyway, after bragging Seven Hills up to the best of my ability, and neglecting to thank all of you except for one short sentence to the website....
I then received Razz's photos/video. That man deserves more than I can pay or say. I expected a video; plain and simple. Not only are his photographic skills right "on", but his focus and comittment more than came through.
I spoke to Friday just briefly, and he said many things that assured me "all would be well". What made it all concrete was the chance to see not only my face "in flight" but his as well...the video convinced me that tandem instructors truly love the sport. I was not the only one to comment that he seemed to enjoy the ride as much as I did. His whole love of the sport and attitude of "free spirit" came shining through. This permitted me to relax and smile even more now, weeks afterwards. All I can say is I still "tear up" each time I see the video/pictures and despite the long wait that day, although I attempted it, my words can't really express how thankful and pleased I was, am and, I am sure, will be. And as you know, I am NOT a happy flyer (in a plane), and I truly appreciated YOUR "Tiny Bubbles" ! To see all of us in the plane was exciting and fun. I had to laugh, I will never forget Friday's words, "this looks really tense..." as he touched my left hand; it seems I was gripping a bit tightly above the window....hmmmm.
Thanks for setting this up Rich....I hope you are having a great summer...I will see you guys again, but it will be after August; I am working 2 jobs now and time is limited; but with 4 tickets, you know I will be there. I have more fears to overcome.
Just a quick THANK YOU for the wonderful experience today on my first tandem skydive. It was definitely wonderful and John did a terrific job making me feel at ease and ready for the jumping experience. I am definitely considering doing this again. Great team you have at 7 Hills!!!!
Just a short note to let you know how grateful I am for the wonderful experience I had with Seven Hills Sky Diving. It was truly an amazing adventure - one I hope to repeat in the not too distance future.
Everyone was incredible. The whole crew made me feel very relax and confident that I could do this. They all (especially Nat) utilized their knowledge and skills to provide a safe and awesome experience for me. Please express my gratitude to Nat, Dean & Jason. A special thanks to you for coordinating my jump and providing answers to all my crazy questions. Seven Hills organization definitely made my first experience unforgettable!
Sometimes I still think "I really did that?" Am looking for to receiving the video of my jump. Any estimate on when I can expect it?
Again, my deepest gratitude to one of the biggest thrill of my life.
